Office of the Registrar
Reporting to and working closely with the Dean of Faculty, the Registrar’s Office ensures the integrity of academic records and implements college policies regarding the curriculum and other academic issues.
The Registrar’s Office also provides resources and services including course registrations, class schedules, grades, student status changes, degree audits, diplomas, maintenance of demographic information for federal and other reporting, transfer credit evaluation and the release of both official and unofficial academic records (transcripts).
Marlboro College uses the National Student Clearinghouse to provide undergraduate transcript requests, as well as enrollment and degree verifications.
Students and former students with Nook log-ins can print or download enrollment certificates for free at any time of day to send to health or auto insurers or any other organization requesting proof of enrollment. Accessing the Clearinghouse through Nook also enables viewing enrollment information on file and student loan deferment notices and proofs of enrollment the Clearinghouse has provided.
If you would like the Registrar’s Office to produce an enrollment verification on letterhead or you need a third-party form completed, please fax or email a written request to (802) 451-7553 or email@example.com. Your request must include: name of student, semester to be certified, name and address or fax number of recipient, name, phone number and email address of person making the request (in case we have questions), and any other relevant information that we should include in our letter. Certifications of enrollment requested in this manner are also free of charge but take longer to process. In most cases, students should allow up to 10 business days for these requests.
Please note that only tentative enrollment verifications can be produced for any given semester until after the drop deadline.
Current and former Marlboro students (Marlboro campus) who wish to change their name should send official certified or notarized documentation, such as a marriage certificate or divorce decree, to the Registrar’s Office.
Marlboro does not retain copies of student diplomas. Diplomas and transcripts are not released if the student owes a balance. Please contact Student Accounts at (802) 258-9241 for information. To order a replacement diploma, send a Replacement Diploma Request form with $25 to the Registrar’s Office. Diplomas are signed by the current Chair of the Board of Trustees and the President, so the process can take several weeks.
