Appropriately nestled in the heart of campus, the campus center is a hub of activity for student events, socializing, and getting that last-minute biology paper done with the help of a double latte. A post-and-beam structure built with the help of students, faculty, and staff in 1981, the campus center features a coffee shop with comfy chairs, bookstore, game room, and student mailboxes. By day it is one of the most inviting and comfortable places on campus to share a quiet conversation on philosophy or literature, or to whack a ping-pong ball to your heart’s content. By night it is the go-to location for open mics, poetry slams, impromptu concerts, and all-night study binges.
In addition to providing all the books you will need for classes, the bookstore on the first floor of the campus center offers a variety of snack foods and other potentially impulsive purchases. You will find art supplies and cards and stamps and Snickers bars and Post-its and breath mints and paper clips and temporary tattoos and pretty much everything a student in the wilds of Vermont might need on a whim. You will also discover a variety of clothes and other products emblazoned with “Marlboro College,” so you can share your abiding college loyalty with others.
Attached to the campus center is the Total Health Center, the healthiest place on campus.
