A Community of Individuals

Campus life at Marlboro reflects the college’s dual focus on individual responsibility and strength through community. Every student, professor, and staff member plays a vital role in shaping day-to-day life at Marlboro. That role may involve participation in Town Meeting or one of the many committees in charge of various facets of Marlboro operations, initiating an impromptu jam session at the coffee shop, working as a Writer’s Block tutor, or pitching in during Trails Day.

How you decide to contribute to the Marlboro community is entirely up to you. The more you put into the community, however, the more fulfillment (and fun) you will experience in return.

Community Governance

Marlboro operates based on a model of community governance. When decisions need to be made, every community member gets one vote (including the college president).

Living at Marlboro

Marlboro dorms accommodate between 12 and 30 students and look and feel more like houses. They have fun names, too (Happy Valley and the Randoms, anyone?).
